Marquette, MI – A duplex in Marquette has been destroyed by fire.
Firefighters were notified of the blaze at 920 North Front Street around 3:10 a.m. Wednesday and found the building fully engulfed.
Two occupants on the second floor were able to escape the house without injury. The first floor was unoccupied.
Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control within 20 minutes and extinguish the fire in about two hours. They say their efforts were made more difficult by heavy winds.
