Classiclectic Feature: Interview with composer Gernot Wolfgang, "Vienna and the West"

gernotwolfgang.com

Gernot Wolfgang is a composer, born in Austria, who moved to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming a film composer.  He started his life in Austria in the jazz scene, but also began composing.  Over the years, he became well-versed in jazz, chamber music, and film score music; his newest album, "Vienna and the West," reflects this background through his compositional output.

Classiclectic host Kurt Hauswirth had an opportunity to speak with Gernot on the phone about his new collection, dubbed "Groove Oriented Chamber Music."

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
