CCI COO to retire

CLEVELAND, OH--   Cleveland-Cliffs has announced its executive vice president and chief operating officer will retire.

The last day for P. Kelly Tompkins will be December 31. Tompkins assumed his current position in January, after having served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since April of 2015. He joined Cliffs in 2010 and has held various roles overseeing business development, commercial, legal, strategy, environment, government affairs, and communications functions during his tenure.

Cliffs President Lourenco Goncalves says he’s grateful to Tompkins for his service through a time of significant changes at the company.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
