Partridge Creek Farm Welcomes Two New Directors

Ishpeming, MI - Partridge Creek Farm in Ishpeming has added to new directors to their staff.

Sara Johnson is the new Executive Director. She previously served as the Market Manager for the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market. Mary Andronis is the newly appointed Director of Programs and Partnerships. Her background includes exploring community-based agricultural practices in remote regions like the Amazon and the Andes where she has seen firsthand the transformative power of local food systems.

Founder and Board Member Dan Perkins says Sara's leadership in the local food movement and Mary's rare expertise in developing regenerative food systems – quote - “strengthens our commitment to local food education and community health.” Johnson and Andronis succeed former Executive Director May Tsupros (TSOO-pross) who accepted a new role as the Director of Farm to Institution Programs at Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems.

Partridge Creek Farm is a non-profit educational farm that provides year-round food access and wellness education that empowers Ishpeming residents to connect with their food and one another.

Hans Ahlström is the host of several programs including the daily musical variety show Weekday, the mostly straight ahead jazz show Night Studio, the self explanatory Blues Today, and the eclectic Sound Spectrum. You can also hear Hans as the local host of NPR's All Things Considered news magazine. He also helps manage Public Radio 90's web content, interviews local and visiting writers and artists, works with NMU student interns, and writes the occasional news story.
