Courage Incorporated to hold fundraiser in Ishpeming to support free outdoor adventure programs

Courage Incorporated is holding its 4th annual community fundraiser from 3-7pm on Saturday April 18, 2026 at River Rock Lanes & Banquet Center in Ishpeming. The event is open to the public and tickets are $15/person at the door (kids ages 6 and under are free). The entry fee will get visitors a door prize ticket, a meal ticket, access to over $10,000 in prize raffles, 50/50 drawings, and more!

Proceeds go towards helping Courage Incorporated provide FREE all-inclusive outdoor excursions for physically disabled individuals, veterans, as well as those living with chronic/terminal illness.

Since 2016, Courage Incorporated has been helping people with different abilities to get into the woods and get on the water. Programs are free for participants and activities include camping, fishing, boating, canoe/kayaking, ice fishing, hiking, outdoor cooking, and more.

People with physical disabilities, and those living with chronic or terminal illnesses,
make up an under-represented segment of the outdoor recreation community due to lack of resources. Courage Incorporated provides all of the equipment, food, and manpower needed to help give people with disabilities a memorable outdoor experience.

Courage Incorporated helps:
• Disabled Veterans, Wounded War Veterans, & those who live with the challenges of PTSD
• People with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological disorder
• People born with limb differences and/or amputees
• People whose quality of life has been impacted by a chronic or terminal illness diagnosis

Courage Incorporated is an all-volunteer organization. Funds raised go directly towards programs, equipment, and operations and not towards any salary or wages.
