Nick’s Run is a 5K run/walk held yearly to raise awareness of the problems of substance use and mental health challenges. Sponsored by local non profit Superior Connections Recovery Community Organization, Nick’s Run honors Nick Suardini, who lost his life to substance use and mental illness several years ago. The event stresses community, solidarity and connection. More info at Superiorconnectionsrco.org. On race day, registration is at at Elizabeth’s Chop House on Front St, from 8:45 am till 10 am. Meet at Mattson’s Lower Harbour bell tower at 10 am to start the race.
