Marquette County League of Women Voters Meeting

The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will hold its next general membership meeting on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the George Shiras III Room on the 2nd floor of Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette. In our Barriers to Voting series, this meeting will feature Chocolay Township Clerk Max Engle who will talk about the proof of citizenship bills before congress and the Michigan legislature. Q&A will follow the discussion.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
