Live on the Lawn continues on Thursday, July 30 with Folias Duo, a trailblazing composer-performer ensemble for flute and guitar, known for blending classical music with jazz, world music, and improvisation. Founded by flutist Carmen Maret and guitarist Andrew Bergeron, the duo has developed a singular artistic voice through two decades of collaboration, live performance, and original composition.
Bring your chair or blanket, pack a picnic lunch, or stop by Bella Nasi Food Truck, Main Squeeze Lemonade, or The Boho Blender. This music series continues to be free to the public thanks to generous donations from The Friends of the Escanaba Public Library, Molina Health of Michigan, and Julie Moker. Inclement weather moves the event indoors, and attendees will be allowed to bring their lunches inside.
The Marquette City Band presents a concert featuring soloists and sections from within the band.

The Negaunee City Band plays its first concert of the 2026 season on Wednesday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street. The band will play weekly through August 5, with all concerts scheduled for Wednesday evenings. Some seating is available, but attendees may wish to bring their own chairs.

The True North String Quartet presents a powerful season finale concert honoring America's 250th anniversary, with a special opportunity for local voices to join in a collaborative musical experience. The True North Quartet features Paul Lundin and Joe Deller on violins, Janine Bradbury on viola, and Katri Ervamaa on cello.

The 2026 Live on the Lawn at Lunch series draws to a close with perennial favorite Kitty Donohoe on Thursday, August 13. A Michigan Emmy award-winning songwriter, she describes her music as ‘folky, bluesy, Irishy, American, Canadianish’. She backs herself on piano, guitar and cittern with equal finesse, but she sees these skills as mostly providing the foundation for the music she writes, both songs and instrumentals.
