Friday court date for MGH knife-wielder

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man charged with pulling a knife on a Marquette General Hospital nurse wants to make a deal with prosecutors.

Robert Allen Wallace, 48, allegedly brandished the knife in the emergency department earlier this month.  He faces a charge of felonious assault, punishable by up to four years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

Wallace waived his preliminary hearing last week.  He returns to court Friday.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
