Aldrich sentenced for CSC with a student

HOUGHTON, MI--   A Hancock man who volunteered with the Houghton High School hockey team has been sentenced to having sexual contact with a student.  

Bradley Aldrich, 30, was given nine months in jail with credit for 59 days served and five years of probation Thursday in Houghton County Circuit Court.  Aldrich must register as a sex offender; cannot work, reside, or be within a thousand feet of school property; is barred from contacting the victim; and cannot attend sports events involving minors. 

Aldrich pleaded guilty in December to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact with a student between 16 and 18 years old. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
