Sentencing set for former U.P. man convicted of stabbing friend

GRAND FORKS, ND--   A former Iron River man is scheduled to be sentenced for murder in North Dakota this January.

Ryan Anderson, 33, was found guilty in August of stabbing to death 32-year-old Christopher King—also of Iron River—during an argument at an oil field crew camp in March of 2013.

Sentencing is set for January 15 of 2015 in Grand Forks.  Anderson faces up to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
