New sentencing date set for Gwinn CSC suspect

MARQUETTE, MI--    A Gwinn man who failed to show up for sentencing on a criminal sexual conduct charge last week has been located.

Leo Field, 27, was charged with first-degree CSC in connection to a December 2015 incident. He pleaded to third-degree CSC and was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday. When he didn’t appear a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

The Forsyth Township Police Department located field and took him into custody Friday night.

He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail pending his new sentencing on April 10.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
