Julie LaCost named Dickinson County judge

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Governor Rick Snyder has appointed Julie LaCost as judge in 95-B District Court in Dickinson County.

LaCost is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Dickinson-Iron County Bar Association. She earned her law degree from Thomas Cooley Law School in 1988.

LaCost will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Christopher Ninomiya, who was appointed to the 41st Circuit Court of Dickinson, Iron, and Menominee Counties. She must seek election in November for a full term. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
