Forsyth Township man sentenced for sexually assaulting unconscious young woman

MARQUETTE, MI— A Gwinn man is headed to prison after a jury found him guilty of criminal sexual conduct.

Michael Lamb, 45, was tried for sexually assaulting a young woman while she was unconscious. He was convicted of two counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct in June.

Lamb was sentenced July 28 to 3 to 15 years in prison for each count. Both sentences will run concurrently.

Lamb will also have to register as a sex offender on the state registry for the rest of his life.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
