Search for Marquette hit-and-run suspect continues

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police are looking for a suspect in a hit-and-run incident in the city Friday.

Officers say the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on US-41 in the southbound lane near the Birchmont Hotel.  They say a gold GMC Terrain was struck from behind by a blue pickup.  The driver of the pickup made contact with the occupants of the Terrain, then fled the scene.

Officers say the pickup—which was driven by a man with dark hair believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s—should have front-end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call Marquette Police at 228-0400.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
