NEGAUNEE, MI-- A homeless man has been charged with stealing a Jeep and ramming a Negaunee police car with it.
Jordan Michael Gursky, 18, formerly of Two Rivers, Wisconsin is accused of stealing the vehicle from Wisconsin and hitting the squad car in an attempt to flee Monday night.
Gursky’s charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer, unlawful driving away of an automobile, and malicious destruction of police property. He faces up to 13 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted as charged.
Four other people were also charged in the incident. Danielle Fortin, 23, of Marquette is charged with driving while license suspended; Jacob Espinoza, 20, of Negaunee Township and Amy Kangas, 19, of Ishpeming were cited for minor in possession; and a 15-year-old female was petitioned into juvenile court on an MIP charge.
