Denessen headed to circuit court for embezzlement

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Gwinn woman has been bound over to circuit court on an embezzlement charge.

Christina Denessen, 43, is accused of taking money while an employee at the Forsyth Township office between July and December of last year.  She allegedly admitted to Michigan State Police to taking around $1,100 for gambling.

Denessen is charged with embezzlement between $1,000 and $20,000.  Arraignment is set for September 7 in Marquette County Circuit Court.    

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
