Gladstone man arrested for supplying alcohol to kids

GLADSTONE, MI--   A Delta County man has been arrested and charged with giving alcohol to minors.

Gary Masonick, 59, of Gladstone was apprehended Friday after allegedly supplying controlled substances and alcohol to kids ages 11 to 16.  Gladstone Public Safety officers received a tip that Masonick was committing the offenses at 619 Michigan Avenue in Gladstone. 

Masonick is charged with four counts of providing a controlled substance to a minor.  He remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond. 

A preliminary hearing is set for October 11. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
