Update:Negaunee Police investigate thefts from vehicles

Negaunee Police have identified the suspect as 19-year old Tyler Scott Johnson, of Negaunee Township. He has been charged with 'breaking and entering - motor vehicle.'

NEGAUNEE, MI--   Negaunee Police are searching for suspects in a string of thefts from vehicles on Pine Street.  

Officers were called to the area Wednesday morning around 12:20 on a report of three subjects breaking into vehicles.  One male suspect was taken into custody.  He had several items in his possession that are believed to be stolen. 

Police are asking residents to check their vehicles and report any missing items by calling 475-4154. 

Charges are being sought against the suspect in custody. 

The case remains under investigation.
