Money stolen from Harvey bar

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   State Police from the Negaunee Post are investigating the break-in of a Chocolay Township business.

Troopers say a maintenance worker reported for work at the Bayou Bar and Grill Tuesday around 3:50 a.m. and discovered a man inside the building.  The suspect had apparently forced open a door to gain entry.  He fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

A K-9 tracking team from the 8th District Hometown Security Team and a K-9 contingent from the Marquette Police Department were called to the scene, but were unable to track the subject.

The incident remains under investigation.
