Officials release name of suspect in Marquette drug bust

MARQUETTE, MI--   The name of a Marquette man arrested on drug charges has been released.  

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement team searched a residence on the 1700 block of Longyear Avenue Thursday and found cocaine, ecstasy, illegal prescription pills, and more than $900 in cash. 

Detectives arrested Anre Rishard Montgomery, 38, and lodged him in the Marquette County Jail.  He's charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine--less than 50 grams.  Each count is a 20-year felony.

A probable cause hearing is set for May 26 in Marquette County District Court.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
