FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI— A meth lab was discovered in Marquette County by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and Michigan State Police last week.
An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant Wednesday at a residence on County Road 557 in Forsyth Township. The search uncovered finished meth product, drug paraphernalia, and components used to make meth.
Detectives used specialized hazmat equipment and gear to identify and dismantle the lab. Eight buckets of hazardous material were removed from the scene.
One suspect was arrested on charges related to the manufacture of meth and possession of a meth lab. A second suspect was arrested on non-related warrants out of Marquette County.
The Forsyth Township Police Department and Forsyth Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
