Charges pending in black-market marijuana operation

ESCANABA, MI— Michigan State Police are investigating a black-market marijuana operation in Delta County.

Members of the MSP Marijuana and Tobacco Investigation Section served two search warrants in Escanaba on Friday.

At the conclusion of the investigation, reports will be turned over to the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office for criminal charges.

MTIS was assisted by the Escanaba Department of Public Safety, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, and Michigan State Police Hometown Security Team.

No further information will be released until the investigation is complete.
