LSCP to help with Ishpeming's economic development

MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI— The City of Ishpeming is getting economic, marketing and administrative help from the Lake Superior Community Partnership.

The two entities signed a formal collaborative agreement that will serve as a new capacity-building model to address economic development shortfalls identified by Marquette County communities. Projects in the agreement will include improvements in the City’s messaging and communication, blight mitigation and helping the City with its Redevelopment Ready Communities certification.

The LSCP will also host several programming activities, like business roundtables and public community updates.

Contracted services began Tuesday and will continue throughout the year.
