MARQUETTE, MI-- Peter White Public Library in Marquette is closing its doors to keep patrons safe from the potential spread of the coronavirus.
Officials say all operations are suspended Friday, March 13 until it’s determined the library can safely reopen.
They say in the wake of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s order to suspend K-12 public education for three weeks, the library will follow suit and reassess that time frame as more information becomes available.
Staff note all of Peter White’s online library services and materials will remain available during this time. They include online magazines, movie streaming, e-books and downloadable books and audiobooks.
Materials can still be returned to the library and its three drop-box locations.
