HANCOCK, MI-- Northern Michigan University and Finlandia University have launched an initiative to explore collaborations between the schools.
An agreement was signed Wednesday in Hancock.
The two institutions have created a task force that will develop proposals for possible partnerships and collaborations of programs, university operations and student opportunities. It will consider such things as early acceptance programs for FinnU undergraduates into NMU graduate programs, areas of possible technology integration, program synergies and enhancements, and assessing potential operating efficiencies.
Finlandia President Philip Johnson and NMU President Fritz Erickson say there’s no formal timeline for the task force’s work.
