THC candy found in Chippewa County school

Chippewa County Sheriff's Office

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI— The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating suspected THC candy found at a local school.

On Friday, two students—ages 12 and 14—were found to be under the influence. Early indications were they ingested THC candy. The candy was found on a third student.

The school resource officer is investigating the incident and it’s not yet clear how the students came into possession of the candy.

Officials say the candy appears to be marketed toward and sold to adults. Deputies are reminding parents to make sure any items with THC at home are locked up and unavailable to children.
