Undergraduates to walk MTU stage this weekend

HOUGHTON, MI— Michigan Tech is holding its undergraduate spring commencement ceremony Saturday in Houghton.

This year’s keynote speaker is Chang Park, President and CEO of Universal Remote Control, Inc. of New York, which he founded more than 30 years ago. The company develops remote controls and home automation products and supplies them throughout the world.

Change came to the U.S. from Korea as a teenager. He graduated from Tech in 1973 with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Administration.

The undergraduate ceremony will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
