Undated - Robert F-Kennedy Junior is asking the full bench of judges on a federal appeals court to let him remove his name from Michigan’s presidential ballot. That’s after a divided three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit U-S Court of Appeals rejected his case. Now Kennedy wants all 16 judges on the court to consider the question.
The state says Kennedy can’t drop out after seeking and accepting the nomination of the Natural Law Party of Michigan. Also, that absentee ballots are already printed and in the mail.
Kennedy’s filing suggests the court could still issue an order to post signs at polling places that say votes for him won’t be counted.
Kennedy has suspended his campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.
