ESCANABA, MI— Escanaba Public Safety was called to a fire at the Elks Lodge over the weekend.
Saturday around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the back of the building and found flames and heavy smoke. The fire was quickly extinguished and the building ventilated.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a problem with an ice machine.
No injuries were reported.
Public Safety was assisted by the City of Escanaba Electric Department, Rampart, DTE, and Delta County Central Dispatch.
