SAWYER, MI-- Starting Monday Sawyer International Airport is offering TSA PreCheck.
PreCheck allows travelers deemed a low risk by the Transportation Security Administration to pass through an expedited security screening. Passengers in the PreCheck program also do not have to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or light jackets.
Sawyer is the first airport in the U.P. to offer TSA PreCheck. It joins more than 200 airports and 67 airlines nationwide to offer the service.
Airport manager Duane DuRay says PreCheck will save passengers both time and stress during departure.
