New Day Foundation aiming to help those fighting cancer with financial, emotional assistance

Those getting treatment for cancer often suffer financial hardships due to increased costs and even the loss of a job. That puts more stress on bodies that are already struggling to get healthy.

Public Radio 90 News Director Nicole Walton spoke with Julie Nemeth, who works in Strategic Partnership and Development for the New Day Foundation for Families Fighting Cancer. She explained how the Foundation can help put the minds of those fighting cancer at ease through emotional and financial help.

More information is at New Day Foundation for Families Fighting Cancer.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
