Iron County coronavirus cases tick upward

IRON COUNTY, MI--   Health officials are reporting another positive COVID-19 case in Iron County.

That brings the county’s total to four active cases.

As of Thursday at 3 p.m. the Upper Peninsula reported 133 total cases of COVID-19 and 16 deaths.

A total of 60,618 confirmed cases have been reported in Michigan. Officials say 5,818 people have died of the novel coronavirus.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
