Portion of US-41 in Marquette to be redone

MARQUETTE, MI— The Michigan Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting to discuss an upcoming road construction project in Marquette.

US-41 from the Front Street roundabout to Furnace Street will be redone. Work will include asphalt rebuilding; cold milling and asphalt surfacing; watermain, storm sewer and drainage repairs and improvements; traffic signal work; signs; and pavement markings. The project is expected to be completed in October.

MDOT will give a presentation and hold a question-and-answer session about the project on Monday, April 11th. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Municipal Service Center, room 103.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
