HANCOCK, MI— Maintenance work on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge is scheduled for later this week.
Cable greasing is scheduled for early Thursday morning. The work will require several bridge lifts, up to 30 minutes each. These lifts are scheduled to begin after midnight and be completed by 6 a.m.
Closures will affect vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says the schedule is weather-dependent and may be adjusted.
