Road work slated for several UP counties in May

UNDATED— A number of Upper Peninsula road projects are slated to start this month.

In Ontonagon County, about 20 miles of M-28 from west of M-64 to US-45 will be resurfaced. Work begins next Wednesday and is due to wrap up by the end of September.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is updating traffic signals at the US-2/M-189 intersection in Iron River on Monday, Tuesday, and next Thursday.

A culvert on M-28 over Rolston Creek in Ontonagon County will be replaced. Work starts May 20th and will finish by the end of September.

And a bridge over Skunk Creek on White Post Road in Dickinson County will be replaced starting May 23rd. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August.
