DELTA COUNTY, MI— Repairs on a portion of a Delta County highway will take at least two to three weeks.
US-2&41 west of Escanaba at Portage Creek was damaged when heavy rains raised the level of the creek. The roadway was closed to traffic last Friday after high water created holes in the pavement.
Detours are posted around the affected area.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has not indicated how long permanent repairs will take.
