ALGER COUNTY, MI— Work on portions of M-28 in Alger County begins Monday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is resurfacing 3.7 miles of the highway from Scott Falls Roadside Park east to Harborview Road. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained.
The project’s estimated end date is October 18.
Preventive maintenance will be performed on the M-28 bridge over Prairie Creek, also starting Monday. The structural steel will be cleaned and coated.
That project is slated to be finished by September 25.
