GLADSTONE, MI-- The Gladstone Public Safety Department says $60,000 has been raised for its first-ever K-9 program.
The department is now moving into Phase 2, where a committee will be established to create a best-action plan for short- and long-term goals.
Once Phase 2 is completed officers will move into Phase 3—or implementation—which is the final step toward the K-9 program.
GPSD says the final two phases don’t have a timeline for completion. Officers say they hope to proceed at a reasonable pace and create a K-9 program that will be sustained for years to come.
