It’s a chance for residents to engage with officers and learn about modern policing. Among other things, participants will learn about law enforcement equipment, evidence and crime scene processing, the use of force and de-escalation, and criminal procedure.

The academy meets every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. from April 16 through May 21.

Applications can be found at www.marquettemi.gov. For more information, call Detective Captain Aldrich at 906-228-0400.
