MNA announces 60 MI Nonprofit Relief Fund nonprofit grantees in Upper Peninsula

MARQUETTE, MI— The Michigan Nonprofit Association has distributed more than $1.2 million to 60 organizations in the Upper Peninsula.

The one-time grants of $5,000 to $25,000 come from the Michigan Nonprofit Relief Fund. They were awarded to nonprofits in areas most affected by COVID-19, especially those in underserved and underrepresented populations.

Grantees include the Calumet Art Center, Delta Animal Center, Partridge Creek Farm, and Soo Locks Childrens Museum.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
