A conversation with organizer and musician Dan Truckey

Local musicians in the Marquette Rockestra are banding together once more to benefit a good cause.

The "Michigan Rocks" concerts will be presented on Thursday, June 6th, and Friday, June 7th at the Forest Roberts Theatre in Marquette. The shows benefit Music For All Kids (MFAK), whose mission is to provide musical training and opportunities for all kids in the community. The concerts will showcase a diverse range of rock and pop music from Michigan-based artists spanning various eras and genres.

Each evening's setlist will be the same, except for a portion of the program featuring the music of Marquette area musicians, like Michael Waite, Kerry Yost, Noah Bauer, and more.

The Marquette Rockestra's "Michigan Rocks" concerts are scheduled for Thursday, June 6th, and Friday, June 7th at the Forest Roberts Theatre on NMU's campus in Marquette. Tickets can be purchased at www.tickets.nmu.edu.
