Epoufette woman in naked reality show

JUNEAU, AK (AP)--   A former Upper Peninsula woman is starring in a new reality show airing this month.

An Alaskan newspaper says Kellie Nightlinger, 39, of Juneau stars June 23 with Erroll James Snyder in the first episode of "Naked and Afraid" on Discovery Channel.

The episode condenses the 21 days the pair spent in the wilderness of Tanzania in Africa.  Each of the remaining shows in the six-episode first season feature a different pair.

The producers found Nightlinger—formerly of Epoufette—over the internet.  In the past 14 months, Nightlinger has interviewed for 14 other various outdoor reality shows.

Nightlinger is an ex-conservation officer from Mackinac County and worked as a miner at Greens Creek in Alaska before getting the show offer.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
