Walker to attend Mackinac conference after all

MACKINAC ISLAND, MI (AP)--   Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will attend a Republican gathering in Michigan this weekend after it was announced earlier that he would not.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel says Walker will not be the keynote speaker on Friday night, but instead will join the 31st Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference on Saturday morning.

Other presidential candidates who will speak at the Mackinac conference are Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. The three-day conference starts Friday.
