Chippewa County men arrested for criminal sexual conduct

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   Two Kincheloe men have been arrested for raping a Dafter woman.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office says last Friday afternoon the victim was home alone with a young child when two men entered the house.  The men chased her into a bedroom and took turns assaulting her while the other man held the door shut. 

Officials believe the suspects knew the victim and also knew she was basically alone at the time.

Andre Hudak, 25, was arrested Monday and charged with 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to commit penetration, kidnapping/restraining victim for CSC, and 1st-degree home invasion. 

Alonzo Upchurch, 19, was also arrested Monday and charged with conspiracy to commit 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault with intent to commit penetration, kidnapping/restraining victim for CSC, and 1st-degree home invasion.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
