DNR seeking hunter input on proposed rules

LANSING, MI--   The Michigan Natural Resources Commission is considering new deer hunting regulations and wants to know what hunters think.

Department of Natural Resources officials say the regulations would provide additional opportunities and cost savings for hunters. Proposed for the 2020 deer hunting season, the rules are scheduled for an NRC vote in June.

Recommended changes include changing the statewide limit for antlerless license purchase to 10 per hunter; requiring hunter orange to be visible on occupied ground blinds; and allowing U.P. archers to resume pursuing antlerless deer with their deer or deer combination license.

To review and comment on the regulations go to Michigan.gov/dnr.
