One of the passengers, a 15-year-old girl from Ishpeming, was thrown from the vehicle and struck by the UTV, which flipped onto its side.

The teen was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment of serious injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing a helmet.

Deputies were assisted by UPHS-Bell EMS and the Ishpeming Township Fire Department.
