MARQUETTE, MI-- The Marquette-Alger Regional Education Service Agency has received $7,400 to purchase personal protective equipment.
The grant comes through the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, administered by the Marquette County Community Foundation in partnership with United Way of Marquette County. The money will allow MARESA to buy a bulk order of PPE, including masks, after Marquette County schools expressed a need as they prepare for the new year.
The COVID-19 Community Response fund was established in 2020 to support the needs of the community and nonprofits during the pandemic. Since March 2020, more than $178,000 has been raised and over $160,000 in grants has been distributed.
