Marquette man arraigned on CSC charges

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man has been charged with having sexual contact with a child under the age of 13.  

Chocolay Township Police say Joseph Worthington Bingham, 23, was arraigned Monday on one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree CSC.

He’s accused of being sexually involved with the same girl in 2007 and/or 2008 and last year.  

Bingham is free on 10 percent of a $20,000 bond.  A preliminary exam is set for July 22 in Marquette County District Court.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
