Marquette resident wakes up to man who tries to stab him, police say

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted stabbing incident Sunday.

Around 5:10 a.m. officers were called to the 100 block of Morgan Street on a report of a home invasion.  The victim in the case reported he awoke to a man standing over his bed.  The intruder then tried to stab the victim with a knife.  The victim was able to repel the attack and the suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall white male with a thin build and short brown hair.  He was wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.

The victim reported minor injuries. 

Police continue to investigate the incident.
